"Taxes on the middle class will be brought down" is the bread and butter of any political campaign, but have we really seen a significant decrease? One of the reasons we haven't is because New York's budget continues to grow, with very little change in the way we pay for it. In order to create a robust economy, the middle class needs money. The reason these taxes are never brought down? It's because Albany is in the pocket of the ultra-wealthy, who refuse to play by the rules.
I intend to lower taxes for the majority of New Yorkers and to make sure that the ultra-wealthy are paying their fair share. I also intend to raise taxes on foreign and domestic owned properties, namely luxury properties, within NYC that often are purchased and utilized under legally dubious circumstances.
